All of the 2022 1 oz Australian Silver Kookaburra Coins in this listing come with individual or bulk packaging. Individual coins are housed in plastic capsules. Multiples of 20 are available in sealed rolls from the mint. Multiples of 100 silver coins come in boxes from the mint with five tubes of 20 coins each. All of the coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
On the obverse of 2022 Australian Silver Kookaburra Coins is an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in a design that serves as the sixth-generation portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This portrait was created for the Royal Mint of England in 2015 by Jody Clark and came to Perth Mint coinage starting in 2018. The portrait shows the Queen in right-profile relief with the George IV State Diadem.
The reverse side of 2022 1 oz Silver Kookaburra Coins features the image of a kookaburra. The largest member of the kingfisher species, the kookaburra is shown here as it perches on the edge of a bird bath. In the background field, Agapanthus flowers are growing. This plant is particularly popular in Australian gardens. The micro-laser engraved security letter is found on this side and is only visible under a magnifying glass.
Perth Mint was founded in 1899 and its coinage is legal tender under the Currency Act of 1965. The mint is a state-owned entity of Western Australia.
