When Europeans first started trying to settle on the Australian continent, they found the landscape devoid of horses that were common in transportation and work. To solve this problem, Europeans began bringing the working horses and draft breeds used in Europe to the Australian continent.
Over the course of the centuries, some of these horses escaped from farms or ranches, and in other cases were purposely released. Rather than die off, these horses thrived and established a feral band that Australians call brumby horses. Some estimates put modern numbers of these horses around 400,000, while others suggest it is around 200,000-250,000.

In the reverse design of 2022 Australian Brumby Silver Coins, the mint features a depiction of brumby near a tree. The barren tree is the only feature on the landscape, save some sparse grass, and the brumby dominates the center of the field with one of its front hooves raised.
These 2022 1 oz Australian Brumby Silver Coins are available to purchase in protective capsules. Multiples of 20 are in capsules and sealed together in plastic rolls. Multiples of 100 coins are in a box of five rolls. These coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and come with a security element in the reverse design field.
