American Silver Eagle coins issued in 2022 mark the first full year of availability for the new design from Emily Damstra. Ms. Damstra offered her design of the American bald eagle as a member of the US Mint Artistic Infusion Program. It was chosen in late 2020 as the new design for the reverse of the Silver Eagles, beating out some 30 other possible designs. It debuted halfway through 2021 after the final issue of the heraldic eagle design.

All of the 2022 1 oz American Silver Eagle Monster Boxes available here have coins in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. There are a total of 500 silver coins in this Monster Box. The green US Mint Monster Box holds the coins in 25 individual tubes, with each tube holding a total of 20 silver coins from the 2022 release. As mentioned above, the individual tubes within this Monster Box are now sealed with a black tape by the US Mint. It is important to note that that tape can sometimes come loose during transport.

On the obverse of 2022 American Silver Eagle Coins in the Monster Box is the classic Walking Liberty design. Inspired by the French Sower, or Le Semeuse, design from Oscar Roty, this visual was created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman and features Liberty’s full-length figure in left-profile relief.

The reverse side of 2022 1 oz Silver Eagles in the US Mint Monster Box is the new bald eagle reverse that debuted in 2021. This design shows the bald eagle as it swoops into the design field clutching a large oak branch in its talons. The bald eagle is known to create the largest nest of any aerial bird in the world, with the size of its nests surpassed only by the flightless ostrich.
