The 2022 release of the American Silver Eagle coin at the United States Mint marks a new era for the series. After introducing its new reverse design in 2021, the US Mint now issues the new reverse for a full year as the only reverse visual you will find in the series. Now, 2022 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coins in perfect condition are available to you for purchase online from JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
In 2021, the US Mint issued two versions of the American Silver Eagle BU coin. This was done to mark the 35th anniversary of the Silver Eagle Series. Through the first half of the year, the mint honored the 35th anniversary of the series by releasing the original heraldic eagle design on the reverse one final time.
After a brief pause in production in late June, the US Mint began striking 2021-dated coins with the all-new reverse design of the American bald eagle in flight. With the heraldic eagle now fully retired, 2022 marks the first full year of production for Emily Damstra’s new reverse design element.
Obverse features on the 2022 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coin include the historic Walking Liberty design. This image first appeared on the US half dollar from 1916 to 1947 and was designed by Adolph A. Weinman. It depicts Liberty draped in the American flag as she walks toward the sun on the horizon.
Reverse elements on 2022 American Silver Eagles feature the new bald eagle design introduced in 2021. Designed by Emily Damstra, this new element shows the bald eagle in flight with its wings stretched behind its frame and its talons clutching a large oak branch.
These 2022 1 oz American Silver Eagles are available to purchase in perfect condition from JM Bullion. Mint State 70 coins showcase full, original mint luster and have no detracting flaws. The First Day of Issue label means the coins were received for grading within 24 hours of release from the mint.
