The field has a bright-blue field and a greeting of Happy Easter.
The new design on the reverse side of American Silver Eagle Coins was issued starting in mid-2021. This marked the release of Type 2 coins in 2021 as part of the 35th anniversary of the collection. The new design comes from Emily Damstra. A member of the Artistic Infusion Program at the United States Mint, Ms. Damstra has previously worked with the US Mint on the ATB Series and the Royal Canadian Mint on the Canadian Wildlife Series and the Birds of Prey Series.
Walking Liberty features on the obverse side of 2022 American Silver Eagle Coins. This effigy of Liberty was created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman. This design shows Liberty’s full-length figure in left-profile relief as she walks toward the sun on the horizon. Her right hand is extend as her left carries the branches of oak and laurel.
A new soaring bald eagle is found on the reverse of the 2022 1 oz Silver Eagle Coins. This design from Emily Damstra shows the American bald eagle soaring through the field. The eagle soars into view with its wings flexed and its talons clutching an oak branch.
