On the obverse of 2022 Australian Silver Koala Coins, you will find the latest portrait of Queen Elizabeth II to grace Australian coins. This design shows the Queen in right-profile relief wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown. In this portrait, the Queen is captured at the age of 89 as Jody Clark developed the portrait in 2015 for the Royal Mint of England.
The reverse side of 2022 1 Kilo Silver Koala Coins features an image of the lovable koala. One of the many species of marsupial to inhabit the Australian continent, koalas are one of the best-known symbols of Australia. This design perfectly captures a day in the life of a koala as it sleeps along the bough of a gum tree. Koalas can sleep for an average of 18 to 20 hours per day.
