The Australian Lunar Series III program is back in 2022 with the third release of the 12-coin collection. As with previous issues in the series, Perth Mint is offering the coins in both BU and proof versions. The Perth Mint is issuing several gold bullion weights in its Proof Australian Gold Lunar Tiger range. The 1/4 oz gold coin is accompanied by a 1/10 oz gold coin and a 1 oz gold coin, each of which is available for individual purchase. The total mintage for these 1/4 oz gold coins is set at 5,000, but just 3,500 are available for individual purchase from the mint with the aforementioned packaging option.

Designed in 2015 by Jody Clark, this right-profile effigy shows the Queen at the age of 89 wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown.
A powerful tiger shows off its muscle and fearsome roar in the design on the reverse of 2022 1/4 oz Proof Gold Lunar Tiger Coins. In the design, the tiger stands along the edge of a rock cliff with its head looking back behind its figure. The powerful frame of the tiger is on full display as its mouth is wide open to showcases its razor-sharp teeth.
