The New Zealand Mint has commemorated many a classic character from the roster of Disney Studios’ animated productions with beautiful bullion collectibles. The character of Scrooge McDuck has shown many faces over the years, starting out as an antagonist to Donald Duck and showing the greedy instincts of his miserly human template, Ebenezer. In the decades since he has evolved to also show some of the more positive traits of the entrepreneur, such as thrift and an adventurous spirit. Through it all, though, he is unabashed in his love of money.
The 2022 Niue Gold 75th Anniversary Scrooge McDuck Coin showcases this basic trait of the character with playful engraved artwork and a mirrored finish. Every shipment is tracked and fully insured by JM Bullion, and comes in a branded display case inside a protective acrylic capsule. A Certificate of Authenticity specifies each coin’s unique number in the mintage.
