Each 2022 1/2 oz Australian Silver Lunar Tiger Coin listed here comes with multiple packaging options based on the volume you purchase. Individual coins come in protective capsules. Multiples of 20 are available in rolls, with multiples of 100 in boxes from the mint. The box holds a total of five rolls of 20 coins each. All coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Perth Mint has an unlimited mintage planned for the 1/2 oz silver coin. However, this only means the mint will strike the coins into 2022 to meet demand, but only to the point at which the next design in the series is available.
As the Perth Mint has with the two previous issues in the Lunar Series III program, the 2022 Year of the Tiger issue features a security element on the reverse side of the coins. In the silver series, five of the six weights offered have this micro-engraved security mark. The 1/2 oz silver coin is among those five, along with the 1 oz, 2 oz, 5 oz, and 1 Kilo coins. The 10 Kilo coin is the only silver coin in the series that lacks the security element.
Queen Elizabeth II features on the obverse side of 2022 Australian Silver Lunar Tiger Coins. This portrait of the Queen was designed in 2015 by Jody Clark for the Royal Mint of England. The design was adopted by Perth Mint starting in 2018, though it did not appear on lunar-themed coins until 2020 and the start of the Lunar Series III program. In this right-profile relief, Her Majesty is featured wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown.
A family of tigers is shown in the reverse design of 2022 1/2 oz Silver Lunar Tiger Coins. This image was created for the silver series by Jennifer McKenna and shows two tigers walking through the jungle. As the duo moves through rocky terrain, therei s foliage in the background that includes bamboo stalks. The adult tiger is in the lead, confidently and cautiously leading its young cub along. Meanwhile, the cub playfully follows its parent.

“The 2022 1/2 oz. silver tiger coin is perhaps THE best-looking coin… although I’ll have to compare it to the 1 oz. coin! Stunning! And it comes in a capsule. Nice touch, Perth Mint!”
