The American Gold Eagle Coins from the United States Mint come in four weights. Since 1986, the US Mint has issued the BU Gold Eagles with 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz options, with the 1/2 oz gold coin being the largest fractional-ounce coin in the series. JM Bullion now proudly offers American Gold Eagles in our MintSealed range as part of our new single-coin clamshell cards. Right now, 2022 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle MintSealed Coins are available to purchase online from JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
Each 2022 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle Coin available here is in Brilliant Uncirculated condition from the mint and has been individually packaged by JM Bullion. As part of our new MintSealed process, we now offer MintSealed coins packaged individually. These coins come from US Mint boxes that JM Bullion received. Our team went through the boxes to select the best 1/2 oz Gold Eagles to use in the MintSealed process.
The coins arrive inside individual clamshell cards that hold the coin sealed at the center. These cards have the matching date, series name, weight, purity, and metal content of each coin inside. The cards also have a product ID number and a QR code.
Liberty is on the obverse of 2022 American Gold Eagle Coins. This iconic design shows the full-length figure of Liberty as she walks toward the viewer holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. Her figure is framed by sun rays emerging on the horizon in the background, with the U.S. Capitol Building at her feet. The entire design field is surrounded by a ring of 50 stars.
A new image of the American bald eagle is found in the reverse design of 2022 1/2 oz Gold Eagle Coins. This new design comes from Jennie Norris and was submitted to the US Mint for consideration in 2020 alongside more than 30 other designs. The image shows the head of the bald eagle in left-profile relief with detailed physical characteristics and layered plumage.
