The design shows the Queen at the age of 89 and is the sixth-generation effigy of the Queen to grace Australian coins.
The reverse side of the 2022 1/2 Gram Gold Mini Roo comes with an image of a bounding kangaroo. The most common species to feature on the Australian Gold Kangaroo is the red kangaroo. In this year’s design, the kangaroo is shown bounding across the Outback and headed right toward the viewer.
