They will be in new condition.
On the obverse of 2022 South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang Gold Medallions, there is a depiction of Chiwoo’s battle shield. This shield features the Doggaebi, a fantastical creature who can shape shift and ward off evil spirits. Here he is depicted with horns, wide eyes, and a mischievous grin. The obverse also contains a security feature and inscriptions reading 2022 Fine Gold .999, Republic of Korea, KOMSCO, 1/10 Clay.
The reverse side of 2022 1/10 oz South Korean Gold Medallions features Chiwoo Cheonwang in action. Here we see the legendary warrior in full armor in a crouching position as he prepares to shoot an arrow at the enemy. With his battle helmet and impressive armor, Chiwoo looks quite intimidating on the battlefield. In this design, Chiwoo occupies the foreground while additional soldiers are seen riding forth in the background. Along the edge, an inscription reads Chiwoo Cheonwang.
Each year, KOMSCO issues a new design in its beloved Chiwoo Series. The series began in 2016 and features medallions in both gold and silver. There are a variety of weights and finishes available as well. The designs are quite detailed and showcase Chiwoo at different stages of battle. The pattern usually begins with Chiwoo preparing for war, fighting the war, and then emerging victorious. Once victory has been declared, the cycle begins anew.
