As part of the 35th-anniversary celebration, the BU and Proof coins were issued as Type 1 coins with the original reverse and later as Type 2 coins with the new reverse design.

PF70 or PR70 grades are reserved for coins with full, original mint luster that showcases no detractions of any kind.
