This marks the first time in the 35-year history of this coin program, that they’ve completely changed an image on either the obverse or Reverse. Coin Highlights:
UCAM proofs have strong, frosted design elements with deeply mirrored clear background fields. History/packaging/obverse/reverse. These 2021-W 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagle Type 2 Coins are also graded as PF69 which are near-perfect specimens that display their full, original mint luster. There will be a maximum of two minor detractions. Coins will arrive in NGC protective plastic slabs.
Emily Damstra’s designs have been featured on coins before. Both the United States Mint and the Royal Canadian Mint have used Damstra’s designs. This marks the end of the heraldic eagle on Proof American Silver Eagles which has been showcased for 35 years.
The obverse field of all 2021-W Proof American Silver Eagle Type 2 Coins features Adolph A. Weinman’s Walking Liberty. This design features Liberty confidently walking into the sunset draped in the American flag. New to this design is Weinman’s signature mark on the bottom right of the coin.
2021-W 1 oz Proof Silver Eagle Type 2 Coins displays the brand-new flying eagle design from Emily Damstra. This design shows a flying bald eagle holding an oak branch. Surrounding this image is the coin’s identifying marks.
