The 2021 Burnished American Silver Eagle makes its debut in late-2021 as part of the release of new Type 2 versions of the Silver Eagle during the 35th-anniversary celebration for the series. Unlike the BU and Proof coins, the Burnished Silver Eagle was not struck earlier in the year in the Type 1 release. The 2021 Burnished Silver Eagle is only available with the new reverse design from Emily Damstra. Today, certified-perfect 2021-W 1 oz Burnished American Silver Eagle Type 2 Coins with a special label are available to you online at JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
The 2021 release of Silver Eagles at the US Mint included Type 1 and Type 2 coins. Early in the year, the original heraldic eagle design was struck on 2021-dated coins. Starting in July 2021, production shifted to strike coins with the new bald eagle design from Emily Damstra. However, this only occurred with the BU and Proof coins. The Burnished Silver Eagle had no Type 1 issue in 2021.
All of these 2021-W 1 oz Burnished American Silver Eagle Type 2 Coins are available in perfect condition. Mint State 70 coins have full, original mint luster and bear no detractions. Early Release coins are those the NGC receives for grading within 30 days of release by the mint. These coins come with a special NGC label inside that has been signed by Michael Gaudioso, the United States Mint Engraver who engraved the new bald eagle design on the reverse of 2021 Silver Eagles.
On the obverse of 2021-W Burnished Silver Eagle Type 2 Coins is Walking Liberty. An iconic piece of American history, this design was created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman for the US half dollar.
The reverse side of 2021-W 1 oz Burnished Silver Eagle Type 2 Coins features the all-new bald eagle design on the reverse. Created by Emily Damstra and engraved for the US Mint by Michael Gaudioso, this vision shows the bald eagle swooping into view with an oak branch in its talons.
