As of 2011, when demand exceeds the capacity of the West Point Mint, the San Francisco Mint. Though the coins do not have an “S” mint mark, they can be identified as San Francisco Mint products based on the straps and serial numbers on the Monster Box the US Mint ships the coins to dealers in.
The obverse side of 2021 (S) American Silver Eagle Coins comes with the image of Walking Liberty. Designed in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman, the image of Liberty offers a left-profile portrait of her full figure as she walks toward the sun. As the sun rises over a mountain, Liberty walks toward its brightness with her right hand outstretched, the American flag around her frame, and branches of oak and laurel in her left hand.
On the reverse field of 2021 (S) 1 oz American Silver Eagles is a depiction of the heraldic eagle of the United States. Featuring for the final time in the series, the heraldic eagle was modernized for this series in 1986 by John Mercanti. The front-facing eagle supports the US national shield with its wings flexed wide to its sides. The eagle clutches the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace in its talons. Above its head is a cluster of 13 stars arranged in a triangle.
