Throughout much of the history of the Morgan Silver Dollar, the New Orleans Mint was an integral cog in the production wheel within the US Mint system. When the coins debuted in 1878, the Philadelphia, Carson City, and San Francisco Mints issued the coins. Starting in 1879, the New Orleans Mint joined this group in striking the coins. The final issue of Morgan Dollars came in 1921, 17 years after its continuous production run had ended in 1904. The US Mint issued honorary centennial Morgan Dollars in 1921 with one version representing each original mint to strike the coins. Today, 2021 O Privy Morgan Silver Dollar Coins in perfect condition are available to you online from JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
The New Orleans Mint was one of the earliest branch facilities of the US Mint to open. The US Mint originally consisted of only the Philadelphia Mint location. As the nation expanded its borders and gold discoveries were made, Congress passed The Mint Act of 1835 to expand the reach of the US Mint with the founding of three branch facilities. Among these was the New Orleans Mint, a branch mint that would operate from 1838 to 1861 and again from 1879 to 1909.
All of these 2021 O Privy Morgan Silver Dollar Coins are available with a perfect certification from the NGC. Morgan could base his vision of Liberty. In the design, Liberty wears a laurel wreath and coronet crown with 13 stars included on the border of the design field.
