In 2021, the United States Mint commemorated the 100th anniversary of the Morgan and Peace Silver Dollar designs. The year 1921 marked the return of silver dollar production at the US Mint after a 17-year pause. That year, the Morgan Dollar was issued one final time before the Peace Dollar debuted later in the year. To celebrate the centennial, the US Mint released six modern bullion versions of these historic designs. You now have the opportunity to own all six 2021 Morgan and Peace Silver Dollar coins in one complete set. Now, 2021 Morgan and Peace Silver Dollar 6-Coin Sets in perfect condition are available online from JM Bullion.
Coin Set Highlights:
On the obverse of each 2021 Morgan and Peace Silver Dollar is a portrait of Liberty. George T. Morgan’s Liberty design for the Morgan Dollar presents a left-profile view. The Peace Dollar design by Anthony de Francisci also features a left-profile Liberty, distinguished by her softer features, flowing hair, and a tall, radiant crown.
The reverse of the 2021 Morgan Silver Dollar displays a heraldic eagle—a symbol long associated with the coin’s original design. By contrast, the 2021 Peace Silver Dollar depicts a bald eagle at rest atop an olive branch, representing peace.
The 2021 Morgan and Peace Dollar program consisted of five Morgan Silver Dollar issues and one Peace Silver Dollar. Production was carried out by three US Mint branches. The San Francisco Mint issued coins with an S mint mark, while the Denver Mint coins bear a D mint mark. The Philadelphia Mint struck three Morgan Dollars, including one without a mint mark and two with commemorative privy marks honoring the historic Carson City (CC) and New Orleans (O) Mints. The 2021 Peace Silver Dollar was produced in Philadelphia and does not feature a mint mark.
Each 2021 Morgan and Peace Silver Dollar coin in this 6-coin set is individually encapsulated in a PCGS protective slab. All coins received a Mint State 70 grade, indicating they exhibit full, original mint luster and are free from any post-production imperfections.
