The United States Mint has issued the circulation quarter-dollar coin since 1932 with the same individual represented. Throughout the decades and various programs, like the State Quarters and ATB images on the circulation piece, the nation’s first president has been a stalwart image on the quarter. Now, a new design comes to the reverse in 2021 celebrating Washington’s crossing of the Delaware River on Christmas Day 1776. Right now, 2021 George Washington Colorized Quarters are available to purchase online from JM Bullion.

The coins come in individual acrylic capsules with a Certificate of Authenticity from the private mint that colorized the reverse field.
In 2021, the US Mint is celebrating the 245th anniversary of Washington’s famous crossing of the Delaware River. The maneuver was made by Washington in a bold attempt to strike a big blow at the British Army and boost morale for the American Colonies in the final days of the first year of the Revolutionary War. Washington was able to capitalize on the carousing Hessians who had spent all night December 25, 1776, celebrating Christmas with a feast and drinks. In the early morning hours of December 26, 1776, Washington and his 2,400 Continental Army troops routed the Hessians to strike a critical blow for the American cause.
