This ship date may vary slightly as it is wholly dependent upon the mint meeting their production schedule.
Please Note: The US Mint may experience delays in the initial production of Type 2 coins. This is a new design release for the series and the US Mint must change production from Type 1 coins to Type 2 coins, including the use of new dies in all of its presses to strike the Type 2 designs.
The 2021 American Silver Eagle bullion coin from the United States Mint marks the most significant release in the collection, arguably, since the 1986 debut of the series. After 35 years with the same obverse and reverse designs, the US Mint is changing one of the visuals for the first time in the history of the program. John Mercantis heraldic eagle design made its final appearance on 2021 Type 1 coins, and now the US Mint is ready to unveil its 2021 Type 2 coins with a new reverse image of the American bald eagle in flight. Today, 2021 American Silver Eagle MintSealed Tubes with Type 2 coins are available to you online from JM Bullion.

The release of 2021 American Silver Eagle Type 2 Coins helps identify the 2021-dated coins in the series with the new reverse eagle design. Created by Emily Damstra, the new reverse is available to you today in our distinctive JM Bullion MintSealed Tubes.
All of the 2021 American Silver Eagle Tubes of MintSealed coins include a total of 20 Troy oz of .999 pure silver. These tubes are the original acrylic tubes the US Mint packaged the coins in within a larger Monster Box. All of the coins inside are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and each one comes from the Type 2 release with the new American eagle reverse.
MintSealed tubes from JM Bullion have been removed from the Monster Boxes the US Mint ships the coins to authorized dealers in. Our warehouse team has ensured that each tube remains closed and untampered with just as when the coins were packaged at the US Mint. We then shrink-wrap the entire tube with plastic and apply our JM Bullion MintSealed sticker with an included QR code linking you to the details of the release.
On the obverse of the 2021 American Silver Eagles in these tubes, you will find Adolph A. Weinmans Walking Liberty design. Created in 1916, it originally featured on the US half dollar from 1916 to 1947. The enhanced image of Walking Liberty on the obverse is closer to Weinman’s original design and the field now includes the artist’s mark from Weinman consisting of his “AW” initials.
The reverse face of 2021 American Silver Eagle Type 2 Coins bears the new bald eagle effigy from Emily Damstra. In this all-new design, the bald eagle swoops into view with its wings raised behind its body as its powerful talons clutch an oak branch, a symbol of strength and longevity.
Emily Damstra is a member of the US Mint Artistic Infusion Program. A veteran coin designer with multiple major coin designs to her credit at both the Royal Canadian Mint and the United States Mint, Ms. Damstras redesign for the reverse of the American Silver Eagle was chosen from a field of more than 35 designs to be the new face of the coins reverse.
