Two of the most unique facets of the new Antique Tuvalu Tears of the Moon Silver Coin are the Perspex dome and the antique polish. The Perspex dome contains silver particles that are suspended in purified mineral oil. These particles are visible on the obverse side with a flat surface and on the reverse side with a domed field. So, why Tears of the Moon? Mama Quilla was one of the most important deities to the Inca, for it was believed she could prevent the world from complete darkness and that she shed tears made of silver.

All of the 2021 2 oz Antique Tuvalu Tears of the Moon Silver Coins in this product listing have an antique polish. This polish gives the coin the appeal of an ancient artifact. As a result of the unique process of polishing the coins, each one has its own, distinct antique appearance. The coins are housed inside of a presentation box shaped like Incan depictions of Mama Quilla. The lips on the statue are a slide-out drawer that reveals the coin. Each coin and case ship in a box with Inca-inspired patterns. A numbered Certificate of Authenticity is also available.

On the obverse of 2021 Antique Tuvalu Tears of the Moon Silver Coins is a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is featured at the top of the design field in the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait designed in 1998. The center of the coin features the case with the silver particles.
