First issued in 2017, the Niue Czech Lion Series is an interesting offering for investors that comes with a new reverse design each year. The focal point of those new reverse designs is the Czech Lion, the heraldic beast from the coat of arms of the Czech Republic. Minted in the Czech Republic by the Czech Mint, this coin series features England’s Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse each year and is issued on behalf of the Commonwealth nation of Niue. Now, 2021 1 oz Niue Czech Lion Silver Coins are available to you for purchase online from JM Bullion.

Available as of 2017, the release of the new 2021 Niue Czech Lion Coins comes with reimagined visuals on both sides of the coin. As the items are an issue backed by the island nation of Niue, the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II still features on the obverse of the coins. However, this year the eagle and shield emblem have been moved from the background of the reverse to the background of the obverse.
Additionally, the image of the Czech Lion gracing the reverse has been captured for the first time in the series in a more life-like visual. Previous issues have focused on the heraldic nature of the beast, rather than its more life-like form. Taken together, these changes make the new 2021 Czech Lion an exceptionally brilliant piece.
On the obverse of 2021 1 oz Niue Czech Lion Silver Coins is an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The portrait shown here is the current one in use on Niue issues, the 1998 design from Ian Rank-Broadley. The right-profile portrait of the Queen captures her figure with the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara on her head. In the background field is the shield-and-eagle design reflecting the ancient past of the kingdoms that ruled what is today the Czech Republic.
The reverse side of the 2021 Niue Czech Lion Silver Coin comes with the latest depiction of the powerful Czech Lion. The beast is depicted in left-profile relief with a detailed, flowing mane and the Crown of Saint Wenceslas on its head. The crown was made in 1346 for Charles IV, the king of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor. It was bequeathed upon his death as a state crown to be used in the coronation of all Bohemian kings to follow. Today, it is part of the Bohemian Crown Jewels.
2021 1 oz Niue Czech Lion Silver Coins are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Individual 1 oz silver coins ship in a plastic flip, while multiples of 25 come in a roll.
