On the obverse of 2021 Gold St. Vincent & The Grenadines Coins is the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. This acclaimed portrait comes from the artist Ian Rank-Broadley, who completed the design in 1998. On it we see Her Majesty wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara, a crown that dates all the way back to 1893. On either side of the Queen are thin curved leaves, and along the rim are the coin’s hallmarks.
The reverse field of the 2021 EC8 St. Vincent & The Grenadines Coin depicts a Humpback Whale as it swims through the Caribbean Sea. In the background, we see wave patterns. These whales are nearly the size of a school bus and are commonly found in the waters near this island. St. Vincent & the Grenadines is written across the top of the coin, and inscribed at the bottom is the date.
