On the obverse side of the 2021 1 oz Canadian Silver Maple Leaf in the tube is a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is featured in right-profile relief on this side of the coins. The design was created in 2003 by Susanna Blunt for the Royal Canadian Mint to use on the obverse of Canadian coins.
The reverse face of 2021 Canadian Silver Maple Leafs includes an image of a sugar maple leaf. The design found here was created in 1979 by Walter Ott for the Gold Maple Leaf and remains the inspiration for all versions of the coin in the 21st century. This side of the coin includes a laser maple leaf image micro-engraved with the “21” date mark at its center.
