One of the many prominent gold bullion collections from the Caribbean is the Barbados Trident. Struck by the Scottsdale Mint as of 2017, the collection offers both 1 oz gold and 1 oz silver coins, as well as a new 1/5 oz gold coin in the series. The series is famous for its background field changes with each release. Today, 2021 1 oz Barbados Trident Gold Coins are available to you online from JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
To date, the Barbados Trident Series has used a new background effect on the reverse of the coins with each release. These visual effects have changed from hammered, or stippled, fields to wave lines that swirl in different directions. The 2021 release is no different in this respect as it offers one of the more intricate background effects used so far in the collection.
All 2021 1 oz Barbados Trident Gold Coins are available to you for purchase in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coins in the gold bullion series are packaged individually inside acrylic capsules for delivery.
On the obverse of 2021 Barbados Trident Gold Coins is the image of the national coat of arms. The Barbadian coat of arms was adopted through a royal warrant of Queen Elizabeth II in 1966. It includes a shield with a bearded Fig Tree at the center and the Red Pride of Barbados Flowers, the national flower, in the upper corners. The shield is topped with a helmet that shows an arm extending upward clutching sugar canes. The shield is supported on either side by the heraldic image of a dolphin and a pelican.
The reverse side of 2021 1 oz Trident Gold Coins features the image of the trident head. Featured on the national flag, this trident head is broken off the staff as a symbol of Barbadian independence from the United Kingdom. The border around this side has a beaded element, while the background offers radiating, wavy lines. Each ring of lines changes directions from the last to create a unique visual element.
