For more than a decade, the Australian Silver Kookaburra was the only major silver bullion coin offered by the Perth Mint on an annual basis. In 2007, that changed with the introduction of the Australian Silver Koala. While Perth Mint’s modern selection of native wildlife silver bullion coins is vast, in 2007 there were only the two coins of the kookaburra and koala collections. Today, 2021 1 oz Australian Silver Koala Coins are available to you online from JM Bullion.

Australian Silver Koala coins are now available alongside the Australian Silver Kookaburra, Australian Silver Kangaroo, Australian Silver Wedge Tail Eagle, and the Australian Silver Emu. All of these coins combine to represent the popular annual-release silver coins from the Perth Mint. Each one features a different, distinctive native wildlife species found on the Australian continent.
All of the 2021 1 oz Australian Silver Koala Coins listed here are available to you for purchase in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The 1 oz Silver Koalas are packaged individually inside of acrylic capsules, in multiples of 20 with sealed rolls, and in multiples of 100 inside of a box. The box contains a total of five sealed rolls.
On the obverse of the 2021 1 oz Australian Silver Koala Coin, you will find an image of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is featured in right-profile relief on the obverse side of all Australian coins. The current design in use in Australia is the 2015 design from Jody Clark. This right-profile bust of the Queen is the sixth used on Australian coins and shows the Queen at the age of 89.
The reverse face of 2021 Australian Silver Koala Coins includes a fresh depiction of the lovable marsupial. The koala, often mislabeled the koala bear, is shown in this design as it is often viewed in the wild. The koala is a rather docile creature that sleeps as many as 20 hours a day. Even though it is viewed as lovable and docile, the koala is more than capable of defending itself when threatened with its sharp claws.
