The Australian Gold Swan Coin series debuted in 2017, and like most of the Perth Mint’s other annual bullion coin series, has a new image of a swan with every issue. Gold coins in the series are released in four sizes ranging from 1 oz to 1/10 oz. Also released every year is a silver bullion coin.

The effigy of Queen Elizabeth II is on the obverse side of the 2021 Australian Gold Swan Coin. Designed by Jody Clark, the Queen is seen in right-profile relief as identifying marks of the coin surround the portrait.

A swan is seen on the reverse of the 2021 1 oz Gold Swan Coin. This image displays a swan floating on the surface of the water in left-profile relief. This side bears the P5 mint mark indicating that this is the 5th coin in this series from the Perth Mint.
