The 2021 Armenian Noah’s Ark Gold Coin series from Geiger Edelmetalle offers four coin weights for those buying gold. The gold bullion version of the coins debuted in 2020 and marked the first expansion of the series since 2012 when four more weights were made available in the silver version of the coin. Coin Highlights:
In 2011, Geiger Edelmetalle introduced the first coins in the Noah’s Ark Series. Only available in silver at the time, the release featured 1 oz, 1/2 oz, and 1/4 oz silver. In 2012, Geiger Edelmetalle expanded the series to include 5 oz, 10 oz, 1 Kilo, and 5 Kilo silver coins. The series continued with only these options through 2019.
In 2020, the German mint added the first Armenian Noah’s Ark Gold Coins to the series. Authorized by the Central Bank of Armenia, the coins were released in 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1 Gram gold options. Unlike the silver bullion coins, the gold bullion coins are all individually packaged and come with mintage caps from Geiger Edelmetalle.
Obverse imagery on the 2021 1 oz Armenian Noah’s Ark Gold Coins includes the national coat of arms. The coat of arms for the Republic of Armenia comes with a heraldic eagle and heraldic lion supporting the national shield. That shield is quartered and includes lions in the first and fourth quadrants, with eagles in the second and third quadrants. There is also a small shield at the center with a depiction of Noah’s Ark on the peak of Mount Ararat.
Reverse designs for the 2021 Armenian Noah’s Ark Gold Coins depict the biblical ark. As the tale from the Book of Genesis recounts, God sent torrential rains to Earth for 40 days and 40 nights to clean humanity of its sins. Noah’s family and two of every kind of animal species were the only survivors, all thanks to the ark God had instructed him to build.
These 2021 1 oz Armenian Noah’s Ark Gold Coins are available with sealed security capsules. The capsule includes a Certificate of Authenticity card with beautiful artwork on both fields and a unique serial number for the individual coin. All coins in this listing are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
