As the United States Mint charted a new course forward in 2021, it was necessary for its coining presses at the West Point Mint to pause production in order to switch out dies and prepare to issue the first new design in the history of the series. Some of those 2021 Silver Eagle Type 2 Coins from the very first day of production are now available to you online. Today, 2021 1 oz American Silver Eagle Type 2 Coins from the First Day of Production are available to you online from JM Bullion in perfect condition.
Coin Highlights:
From January 2021 to June 2021, the US Mint continued with the use of its original design combinations featuring Walking Liberty on the obverse and the heraldic eagle on the reverse. The new Type 2 reverse design was not introduced until July 2021 after a brief pause in production at the mint. The coins in this listing are special coins that represent the start of that new era.
All of the 2021 1 oz American Silver Eagle Type 2 Coins available here come with a perfect certification and a special label indicator. The Mint State 70 grade is reserved for coins that have full, original mint luster and bear no detracting flaws of any kind. Additionally, the label in the slab indicates each one of these coins is guaranteed to have been struck by the US Mint on the First Day of Production for the new Type 2 coins in July 2021.
On the obverse side of 2021 American Silver Eagle Type 2 Coins, you will find the historic Walking Liberty design. Created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman, it first appeared on American coins from 1916 to 1947 as the obverse face of the US half dollar. It has been on the Silver Eagle since 1986.
The reverse field of 2021 1 oz Silver Eagle Type 2 Coins comes with the new design of the bald eagle from Emily Damstra. This vision shows the bald eagle as it swoops downward in flight while clutching a large oak branch in its talons.

"I grabbed a pair of these along with a couple of the Type 1 'Last Day of Production' Eagles. These coins (mine at least) don't suffer from the 'rimming' issue ASEs are known for. Low mintage to boot. I think they're worth it."
