For the 35^th anniversary of the coin series, the US Mint has reimagined the reverse side of the coins with a fresh take on the American bald eagle. The US Mint has turned to the Artistic Infusion Program to find a new design element for its American Silver Eagle. The coin design coming to the reverse of the coins in 2021 comes from Emily Damstra. A veteran of coin and medal design for sovereign mints, Ms. Damstra has previously worked with the Royal Canadian Mint on the Canadian Wildlife and Birds of Prey Series.

All 2021 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coins in this product listing are available with a near-perfect certification. The Mint State 69 certification is for coins that have full, original mint luster and a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. Those flaws include only minuscule contact marks or hairlines and must be located outside of the primary focal points of the coin.

On the obverse of 2021 American Silver Eagles is Walking Liberty. This design was created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman and featured on the US Half Dollar coin from 1916 to 1947. It depicts Liberty in left-profile relief as she walks from right to left across the design field toward the sun on the horizon.

The reverse face of the 2021 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coin is the heraldic eagle of the United States. Featuring on the coins for the final time, the heraldic eagle was modified by John Mercanti in 1986 for this coin series. The design element depicts the bald eagle with the US national shield on its chest, the arrows of war in one talon, and the olive branch of peace in the other talon.
