The obverse of 2021 American Silver Eagle Type 2 Coins features a left-profile relief of Liberty. This full-length portrait of Liberty was created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman and originally featured on the US half dollar until 1947. In this design, she is featured walking toward the sun on the horizon as it crests a small mountaintop. Her right hand is extended and her left hand carries the branches of oak and laurel. The American flag is draped around her figure in this design.
On the reverse side of 2021 1 oz Silver Eagle Type 2 Coins is a new design from Emily Damstra. This vision of the bald eagle depicts the large, powerful predator in flight with its wings flexed and its talons clutching an oak branch.
