The Mexican Mint’s Libertad Series of bullion coins offers gold and silver coins for sale to investors on an annual basis. The series launched in 1982 with a 1 oz silver coin, and expanded for the first time in 1991 with four fractional-ounce coins introduced. The smallest of those coins is the 1/20 oz Silver Libertad. Today, 2021 1/20 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coins are available to you online from JM Bullion.

The Mexican Mint introduced 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz, and 1/20 oz silver coins into the Mexican Libertad Collection in 1991. As you look through the history of the fractional-ounce coins, each one has been issued annually since that time, with one exception. The 1/20 oz Silver Libertad was not released in 2012, giving it one less year of availability than its fractional counterparts.
All of these 2021 1/20 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coins are available to you for purchase in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The 1/20 oz weight of Silver Libertad coins comes with protective plastic flips for individual coins.
The obverse design of 2021 Mexican Silver Libertad Coins is one that has existed in Mexico for hundreds of years. The coat of arms of the modern nation of Mexico is featured here with the Mexican gold eagle on a prickly pear cactus as it battles against a rattlesnake. There is a wreath below that is made of oak and laurel. This may be the modern coat of arms, but it is rooted in a symbol from the Codex Mendoza, an Aztec codex created in 1541.
On the reverse side of the 2021 1/20 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coin, you will find the statue of Winged Victory. The image of Victory is rooted in ancient depictions of the Greek goddess, Nike, the goddess of victory. Known in Mexico as Victoria, she is shown here atop the Mexican Independence Victory Column. The statue of Victoria is made from copper and was built in 1910 to mark the centennial of the start of Mexico’s revolutionary war.
