When it comes to buying gold, it is often the smallest gold coins that sell the best. This is particularly true when gold buying occurs during periods of increased precious metals prices. In the Mexican Libertad Series of gold bullion coins, the smallest option available to investors is the 1/20 oz gold coin. Now, 2021 1/20 oz Mexican Gold Libertad Coins are available to you for purchase online from JM Bullion.

The Mexican Gold Libertad Coins were first issued in 1981 by the Mexican Mint. The series started with 1 oz, 1/2 oz, and 1/4 oz gold coins, but was available only for that one year. A decade later, the series resumed in 1991 with 1/10 oz and 1/20 oz gold coins added to the collection. This range of weights was issued in 1991, 1992, 1993, and 1994 before another halt hit the program.
This time, the Mexican Gold Libertad Coins were halted from 1995 to 1999. The Mexican Mint resumed coining of the Gold Libertad in 2000, but halted the series once again in 2001. In 2002, the coins all returned and have been in production since that time. During its history, the 1/20 oz Mexican Gold Libertad has hit a mintage high of 65,225 in 1992. More recently, the 2018 coin sold 2,500 units and the 2019 coin sold 1,500 units.
Obverse design elements of the 2021 1/20 oz Mexican Gold Libertad feature the Mexican coat of arms. The national seal representative of the federal government includes the image of a golden eagle on a prickly pear cactus as it works to devour a rattlesnake. Included in the design element is an oak-and-laurel wreath below and the nation of issue above.
Reverse elements of the 2021 Mexican Gold Libertad include Winged Victory and the volcanic peaks of Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl. The statue of Winged Victory was constructed in 1910 and placed atop the Mexican Independence Victory Column in 1921 when the column was completed. The volcanic peaks of Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl are active volcanoes and are visible from Mexico City.
These 2021 1/20 oz Mexican Gold Libertad Coins are available to you in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. All coins ship individually housed inside of plastic flips.
