In the obverse design of the 2020 (Y) 1 Kilo Proof Gold Panda Coin, the mint features the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests. This design has featured on the Gold Panda Coins since 1982 and shows the exterior staircase of the building leading up to its primary entrance. The Hall is located within the Temple of Heaven Complex.
For the reverse of 2020 (Y) Proof Chinese Gold Pandas, you will find a depiction of a Giant Panda lying back amidst bamboo. In their natural habitat, giant pandas display interesting social dynamics and communication methods. They use a variety of vocal sounds, including bleats, barks, and honks, to express different emotional states and intentions. Young pandas are particularly playful, often engaging in wrestling and tumbling activities that help them develop physical skills and social bonds within their limited population groups.
Giant pandas inhabit a very specific and increasingly fragmented ecosystem within the mountainous regions of central China, primarily in Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu provinces. These unique bears thrive in temperate broadleaf and mixed forests characterized by dense bamboo understories at elevations between 5,000 and 10,000 feet, where cool, misty conditions and high humidity support their specialized ecological requirements.
These 2020 (Y) 1 Kilo Proof Chinese Gold Panda Coins are in perfect condition. PF70 coins showcase full, original mint luster with no flaws visible. UCAM stands for ultra-cameo proof and refers to the strong, frosted designs with deeply-mirrored, clear fields. First Release specimens are those received for grading within 30 days of release from the mint. Each of these coins was struck by the Shenyang Mint. Located in Liaoning Province, is one of the most significant minting facilities in China with a rich history dating back to 1936.
