On the obverse face of 2020-W 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagle Coins is Walking Liberty. Designed in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman, this iconic image was used on the nation’s half-dollar coins from 1916 to 1947.
The reverse side of 2020 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagle Coins comes with the modern heraldic eagle of the United States. This modernized version of the seal was created in 1986 for the Silver Eagle release by John Mercanti.
All 2020 Proof American Silver Eagles have a “W” mint mark on the reverse design field below the heraldic eagle in the lower left. This indicates the coins were struck at the West Point Mint.
