Mexican Silver Libertad coins are available to purchase annually in eight different weights. The Silver Libertad offers the common 1 oz silver option in its bullion series, as well as four fractional weights and three weights greater than 1 oz of silver. One of the popular weights is the 2 oz Silver Libertad. Today, 2020 2 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coins are available to you online from JM Bullion.

The Mexican Silver Libertad added the 2 oz coin to its collection in 1996 along with the 5 oz silver coin. These two weights have been available every year since that time and tend to have mintage figures that ebb and flow in popularity opposite that of the fractional-weights. When the fractional coins gain popularity, it often comes at the expense of the 2 oz and 5 oz coins. Conversely, when the 2 oz and 5 oz coins surge the fractional-weights experience a drop in demand.
All 2020 2 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coins are available to you in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coins are available individually inside of protective plastic flips or inside of cases that contain a total of 20 individual coins.
The highest recorded mintage figure for the 2 oz Mexican Silver Libertad remains the 1996 debut coin with 50,000 sold. During the height of the Great Recession in 2009, the 2 oz Silver Libertad set its second-highest mintage at 46,000 coins. The lowest mintage to date came in 2005 when just 3,549 coins were sold.
On the obverse side of 2020 Mexican Silver Libertad Coins is a depiction of Winged Victory. Inspired by the Roman goddess of victory, Victoria, this female personification of Mexico holds a wreath crown in her right hand and broken chains in her left hand. This design reflects the appearance of Winged Victory as found atop the Mexican Independence Victory Column erected in Mexico City in 1921.
The reverse of 2020 2 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coins features the modern Mexican coat of arms in the center with the golden eagle battling a serpent on a cactus branch. Around the design field, you will notice 10 historical versions of this same seal used since Mexico gained its independence.
