With Henry VII’s victory at the Battle of Bosworth Field, he solidified his claim to the throne and launched the House of Tudor as the ruling monarchy.

This fifth-generation portrait was created in 2015 by Jody Clark for the Royal Mint and depicts the Queen in right-profile relief with the George IV State Diadem Crown.

The reverse side of the 2020 British Silver Queen’s Beast Yale Coin features the Yale of Beaufort with the personal badge and shield of King Henry VII. The Yale comes to the monarch through Henry VII, but it came to him through his mother, Lady Margaret who was an heiress of the Beauforts.
