The new 2020 South Korean Gold Chiwoo Cheonwang not only introduces a new reverse design but also boasts a new obverse vision of Do ggae bi. While the majority of the design element remains the same, the specific image of Do ggae bi has been enhanced for 2020 and is based on an artistic rendering of the beast owned by the Gyeongju National Museum of the Republic of Korea.

The obverse field of the 2020 1 oz South Korean Gold Chiwoo Cheonwang features that new visual for Do ggae bi. In this design, several of the beast’s features have been enhanced with stronger visual elements. This includes more prominent eyebrows, nostrils, and exposed teeth in his grin. Perhaps the most notable change is the addition of two bull’s horns on the head. The latent security image remains at the bottom and Do ggae bi’s face is still shown on a battle shield.
