The Rwandan African Ounce Series is a long-running program for the Republic of Rwanda and offers a common reverse element with new features added to it for each release. The obverse of the coins have the same designs each year with the National Seal of Rwanda. Now, 2020 1 oz Rwandan Bushbaby Silver Coins are available to you for purchase online from JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
The Rwandan African Ounce Series comes with fresh design features on the reverse field each year. One element of the design is the same each year, that of the African continent in the center of the design field. This appears in each year, but in the lower-left field, the coins have a depiction of different animals native to the African continent.
In the 13th release of this series, the Rwandan African Ounce debuts one of the smaller animals to feature on the coins. Bushbabies are known as nagapies in Afrikaans, which translates into English as “little night monkeys.” The bushbaby is named as such in English and Afrikaans because of the cries it makes and because of the fact that it is seen almost exclusively at night.
For the obverse field of 2020 1 oz Rwandan Bushbaby Silver Coins, the mint features the aforementioned design elements of the African continent. The lower-left field features two bushbabies on a tree branch with an adult and a young baby.
In the reverse design elements, 2020 Rwandan Bushbaby Silver Coins have the National Seal of Rwanda. Inscriptions on this face of the coin are always in Kinyarwanda, the native tongue for the people of the Republic of Rwanda. The national shield includes a small hut with wooden shields on either side to frame the hut. The coin’s face value is also featured on this side along with the name of the national bank supporting the coins.
These 2020 1 oz Rwandan Bushbaby Silver Coins are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Individual coins are sealed in plastic by the mint, while multiples of 10 arrive in sealed sheets.
