Produced by the German refiners at Geiger Edelemtalle, the World’s Wildlife Series is a new silver bullion collection available to investors with unique designs representing different animals from around the world. Each one faces a critical status in the world as its numbers dwindle. Following the 2019 debut with the Giraffe, the 2020 release features the whale, captured in the design by a blue whale. Today, 2020 1 oz Congo Whale Silver Coins are available to you online from JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
The World’s Wildlife Series is produced in Germany by Geiger Edelmetalle, the mint behind the popular Noah’s Ark silver and gold coins issued for the Republic of Armenia. The new World’s Wildlife Series silver coins have a limited mintage through two releases of just 30,000 silver coins, with gilded silver coins and colorized silver coins also available with each release.
All of the 2020 1 oz Congo Whale Silver Coins available here come in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coins are presented inside of plastic capsules and contain 1 Troy oz of .9999 pure silver, ranking each one among just a handful of major silver bullion coins with such a high level of silver content.
On the obverse of 2020 Congo Whale Silver Coins is a depiction of the national coat of arms for the Democratic Republic of Congo. The seal is one of the few coat of arms designs without a shield. It features a rock base with an elephant tusk emerging on the left and a warrior’s spear on the right. These two features frame the head of a leopard with its mouth open and sharp teeth exposed. The national motto is found around the lower half of the seal. The design field includes a beaded border around the outer edge.
The reverse face of the 1 oz Congo Whale Silver Coin features the image of a massive whale as it crests out of the ocean. As the massive mammal emerges from the water, splashes and beads of water run off its frame and back down toward the ocean. A common design element in the series is the depiction of the globe in a small circle at the bottom of the design rim.
