All of these 2020 1 oz Australian Rectangular Dragon Gold Coins are available to you in Brilliant Uncirculated condition from the Perth Mint. The gold coins in this series ship individually with a protective plastic capsule. The mintage of the gold bullion option in the collection is much lower than its silver counterpart.
2020 Australian Rectangular Dragon Gold Coins are available with a low mintage of 8,888 coins. This number was selected as a commemorative figure denoting the importance of the number eight in Chinese society as it is associated with good luck. Previous releases in the gold series had mintages of 25,000 in 2018 and 20,000 in 2019.
Queen Elizabeth II features on the obverse side of 2020 1 oz Australian Dragon Gold Coins. Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief with the George IV State Diadem Crown on her head. Commissioned in late 1820. The crown includes an astonishing 1,333 diamonds that weigh more than 300 karats in total. This is the sixth-generation effigy of the Queen on Australian coins and was designed by Jody Clark.
Two dragons are depicted on the reverse of 2020 Australian Dragon Gold Coins with a flaming pearl at the heart of the design element. The field depicts the two dragons slithering along opposite one another with their gaze fixed on the pearl at the center. There is a “P” mint mark from the Perth Mint in the lower-left field of the coin.

"After getting this from JM Bullion, I wonder why more rectangular coins aren't produced. This little gem is like a smaller, thicker gold bar with all the design elements of a coin. This has about half the "face" surface area of your typical 1 oz gold bar but about twice the thickness. The plastic case is very efficient as well, adding about 1/8" to each edge and same to the total thickness. The end result is a coin that is far more compact to store than any round coin or any 1oz gold bar in assay packaging. The detail on the dragons is exceptional. Couldn't be happier!"
