Ms. Jong was first hired by the Perth Mint in 2011 as an apprentice designer and quickly showcased her talents with the mint. Beginning in 2013 with the Year of the Snake, she made annual, impressive contributions to the Perth Mint Lunar Series II collection of both silver and gold coins.
On the obverse of these 2020 1 oz Australian Guardian Lions Double Pixiu Silver Coins is an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The latest effigy in use on Australian coins, this bust of the Queen is adapted from the Jody Clark design debuted by the Royal Mint of England in 2016. The image shows the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown with her neckline and shoulders visible, a first on Australian coins since 1966.
The reverse face of 2020 Australian Guardian Lions Double Pixiu Silver Coins includes the two pixiu facing one another. The pair sits atop a mound of coins with an oriental border theme around the top half of the coin’s design field. Though not visible to the naked eye, this side of the coin has a security feature that is micro-laser engraved into the design field. This single letter is visible under magnifying glass only.

Took coin outside into the shade, rotated it a bit, and I could see the detailing on their bodies which is very elegant. Thank you for offering this challenging coin. lol "
