Each 2020 1/4 oz American Gold Eagle in this product listing earned a near-perfect MS69 certification from the NGC. Coins in this condition exhibit full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. Those flaws are limited in nature to minuscule contact marks or hairlines and must be located outside the primary focal points of the coin.
Included with your purchase of these 2020 1/4 oz Gold Eagles is an Early Release label. This additional label indicates the timing of the coin’s arrival for grading. To earn an ER label, coins must be received for grading within the first 30 days of the US Mint’s release of 2020 Gold Eagle coins.
On the obverse of 2020 1/4 oz American Gold Eagle Coins is a depiction of Lady Liberty. This design was created in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and originally intended to be struck in high-relief. The US Mint lacked that technological capability at the time, but nonetheless used it in a modified visual on the $20 Gold Double Eagle until 1933.
The reverse of 2020 American Gold Eagle Coins comes with the image of a family of American bald eagles. In this design from Miley Busiek, a male bald eagle flies over the family nest as a female guards a young hatchling in the nest.
All American Gold Eagle coins are produced by the United States Mint at its West Point Mint facility, but these bullion specimens do not feature a mint mark.
