These 1/2 oz Gold Kangaroo coins have the lowest mintage cap at just 100,000 in total. The largest mintage cap is for the 1/10 oz coin which the Perth Mint will strike up to 200,000.

The coins are all in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and feature a new reverse design for the 34^th issue. This year’s design of an adult kangaroo and a young joey comes from artist Aleysha Howarth.

The red kangaroo is often the focus of the designs in the Australian Gold Kangaroo Series. It is one of four kangaroo subspecies that inhabit the Australia continent and is both the largest member of its subspecies and the largest member of the marsupial family. Red kangaroos have the widest distribution on the continent and are only nonexistent in the south, east coast, and northern rainforests of Australia.

On the obverse of 2020 1/2 oz Australian Gold Kangaroo Coins is a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. In this sixth-generation design from Jody Clark, Her Majesty is shown in right-profile relief wearing the Royal Diadem crown on her head, earrings, and the Victorian coronation necklace.

The reverse of 2020 Australian Gold Kangaroo Coins features two red kangaroos. Set on a grassy plain, both kangaroos are depicted standing on their hind legs with their powerful tails balancing their frame as their ears are perked and alert to the surrounding area. In the foreground, you will notice an adult, while a young joey is depicted in the near background.
