The Mexican Silver Libertad bullion series now features eight weights. The four fractional weights were introduced first in 1991. Winged Victory is based on the Roman goddess for victory, Victoria. This particular personification of the Mexican people holds a wreath crown in one hand that represents self-governance, while the other hand clutches the broken chains representing Spanish colonial rule over Mexico.
The reverse of 2020 1/10 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coins features the design of the Mexican coat of arms. The national seal depicts a golden eagle battling a serpent on the arm of a cactus. A wreath surrounds the seal below with the name “Estados Unidos Mexicanos” inscribed above.
