Mexican Silver Libertad coins are one of the many major silver bullion coins out there, but are a unique option for anyone buying silver. The Silver Libertad is available in bullion, proof, reverse proof, and proof-like versions with seven weights widely offered. The Mexican Silver Libertads have low mintage figures across both bullion and proof ranges. Right now, 2019 Proof Mexican Silver Libertad 5 Coin Sets are available from JM Bullion.

Each 2019 Proof Mexican Silver Libertad 5-Coin Set from the Mexican Mint is available to you with a protective display box that houses the five coins in the release. Each coin is set in a capsule and the set includes the 1 oz Proof Silver Libertad alongside its four fractional-weight counterparts: 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz, and 1/20 oz.
The individual coins in this release contain .999 pure silver content and have traditional proof visuals. This includes the presence of frosted design elements and mirrored background fields. The 5-coin set was first offered in 2008 by the Mexican Mint and has had the same mintage figure in each year to date: 1,000 sets. The only year the set was not offered was 2012, a year in which the only Proof Silver Libertad struck was the 1 oz silver coin.
On the obverse of each 2019 Proof Mexican Silver Libertad coin in this five-coin set is Winged Victory. Her figure stands with one hand held high overhead and her wings flexed behind her back. That right hand held high clutches a wreath crown while the left hand at her side holds broken chains.
The reverse of the four fractional-weight coins in this 2019 Proof Mexican Silver Libertad 5-Coin Set includes only the modern coat of arms for Mexico. On the reverse of the 1 oz coin, you’ll find the modern seal along with 10 historical versions of that same seal forming a circle around the modern design.
All Mexican Silver Libertad coins are produced by the Mexican Mint in Mexico City. Owned by the federal government, the Mexican Mint issues bullion coinage and circulation currency for Banco de Mexico.
