The 2019 America the Beautiful Series of silver bullion coins features two different World War II-focused national parks. Both of these locations are found outside the continental United States and remember the efforts of American forces in the battle against Japan in the Pacific Theater of the war. Today, 2019 5 oz Colorized ATB War in the Pacific National Historical Park Silver Coins are available to you online from JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
Colorized silver coins are often standard bullion coins from a collection that have an added layer of colorized lacquers applied to certain design elements to provide a distinctive visual appeal. In the ATB Series, the colorized coins offer a different glimpse of the designs already available in the US Mint’s pure silver releases.
All 2019 5 oz Colorized ATB War in the Pacific National Historical Park Silver Coins are available to you in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. These individual coins are housed inside of protective capsules and are offered in a themed display case that includes the heraldic eagle and “America the Beautiful” on the lid of the case.
On the reverse of 2019 5 oz Colorized War in the Pacific Silver Coins is the image of US Marines storming the beaches of Guam in the summer of 1944 during the Second Battle of Guam. American forces were routed early in the war by the Japanese, but the US island-hopping campaign in the Pacific finally brought the military back to the shores of Guam by late July 1944.
Over the course of six weeks, battle-hardened American forces came ashore to face dug-in Japanese forces in the battle. The design on this side features American Marines and soldiers in their military uniforms launching from Higgins landing boats and taking cover on the brown sands of Guam’s beachhead.
The obverse of 2019 5 oz Colorized ATB Silver Coins includes the imagery from the US circulation quarter. President George Washington’s left-profile bust is featured here as it was designed in 1932 by John Flanagan for use on the 25-cent piece.
