Each coin design is struck onto a rimless, 2 oz blank that has the appearance of ancient coinage. The high-relief design brings Gustave Dore’s artwork to life on the reverse side, and the application of an antique polish makes each coin appear aged even though it is brand new.
On the reverse side of 2019 2 oz Samson Slays the Lion Biblical Silver Coins is the image of Samson as he overpowers the lion and attempts to kill it. The story of Samson and the lion is told in Judges 14. Samson was given superhuman strength by God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
