Gilded coins are a unique combination of the two most popular precious metals. Investors and collectors alike can add this stunning piece to their holdings. Each 2019 1 oz Australian Silver Pig Gilded Coin includes .9999 pure silver content with a layer of 24-karat gold applied to the mother pig on the reverse side of the coin.
The addition of a gilded layer on 1 oz silver coinage creates collectible value and uniqueness on standard bullion coins. Each one of these coins is available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The addition of the 24-karat gilded gold does not alter the metallic value of the coin as the amount of gold is minuscule and meant to provide a beautiful visual contrast.
On the reverse of 2019 1 oz Australian Silver Pig Gilded Coins is the image of a mother pig with her four little piglets. The only application of the 24-karat gold is found on the female pig in the center of the design element on this side of the coin.
The obverse of 2019 Australian Silver Pig Coins is the image of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is featured here in a right-profile design from Ian Rank-Broadley. It was designed in 1998 for the Royal Mint of England as the fourth-generation design and is the fifth effigy to appear on Australian coins.
The Perth Mint’s gilded silver coins are unique among others in the industry in that they are produced in-house by the mint. Many other gilded coins are not produced by the original issuing mint, but rather altered after issue.
