Each of the 2019 1/2 oz Australian Gold Pig Coins in this product listing comes to you from the Perth Mint of Australia in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coins are available to you inside of individual protective plastic capsules or within sealed rolls of 20 coins. The Australian Gold Pig coins mark the conclusion of the 12-year program.
The Australian Gold Pig Coins are available from the Perth Mint in a total of eight weights in the bullion range. The gold bullion coins are offered to you in either 1 Kilo, 10 oz, 2 oz, 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz, or 1/20 oz weights. The unlimited mintage of these 1/2 oz coins indicates the Perth Mint will strike the coins to meet demand, but only through the end of the calendar year of issue marked on the coins.
On the reverse side of 2019 1/2 oz Australian Gold Pig Coins, you’ll find the final design in the Lunar Series II collection. Ing Ing Jong’s unique gold design for the Year of the Pig Release includes a single, adult pig with its snout up to the air and its ears perked up. There are engravings of “Year of the Pig” and the Chinese symbol for pig.
The obverse face of the 2019 Australian Gold Pig Coins includes the fourth-generation effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. This effigy has been in use since 1998 on British and Commonwealth coinage. Though the Perth Mint is shifting its major bullion coins to the new fifth-generation design from Jody Clark, the final Lunar Series coin includes the Ian Rank-Broadley design to ensure continuity of designs in the series.
